I'm a big girl now!

I have set a few goals this summer and I would like to accomplish them before I need to get back to work in the fall.

Goal 1: Get rid of the "Stinky Binki!"
Addison will be 2 at the end of July. She has few attachments, one in particular we really want to get rid of, it might ta
ke awhile she loves her "binkie!" It seems to be going well though. She knows that she can only have it in her bed. She is really good about spitting it out and throwing it back in her bed. I think I am going to try and cut the tip at the end soon and see what happens. She spits it out within 10-15 minutes of being asleep.
Ten Months with the "stinky binki!"Sitting in my rockin' chair... rocking my baby with my little friend!
Laying with the dogs
Dancing with Daddy
Sleeping with no "stinky binki" see I do not really need it.
Goal 2: Potty Training 101 I know that she is just going to be 2 but I really wanted to get started potty training her over the summer. She is a very smart girl and catches onto things so quickly, I knew I could at least get a good start on it. She has responded so well to the whole potty training idea. She did not need her own little potty or potty cover, she sits directly on the toilet. At first I set the alarm on my phone to a different ringer so when she heard it she did the potty dance. I set it for about every half hour to forty-five minutes depending on how much she was drinking between potty breaks. We have been working at this pretty hard since the end of May and she has not had an accident in over a week in her pants. She does not need the alarm to remind her anymore either. She is beginning to let me know that she has to go potty. She even wore big girl panties to the zoo last Friday and she did not have an accident. I am so proud of our little girl! Mind you she does use "easy-ups" at night but she has woke up with them dry for 2-weeks. Maybe we will try to wear "chonies" panties at night and see how it goes. Nana will have an easier time now that she does not have to change dirty diapers.
A year ago in my diaper!
Now I wear "Chonies" panties

Juan and Nicholas are heading to Omaha in a few days! I wish we could have gone! So be watching for tourney pictures of Nicholas and the HOTSHOTS playing in Omaha, Nebraska. There are also going to be able to take in a few college baseball world series games. So Exciting! Too bad ASU can't be there!

This is an old picture...we have a few new players and some of these have left, but I wanted to wish these boys! GOOD LUCK! Play hard and to remind them to do there job!
Be Careful and Be Safe Daddy and Nick!
Love you both bunches!
Mom and Addi Girl!

  1. Carson had his pacifier until after he was 2- I think only using it at night makes a huge difference. They really discover that they don't need it! Woo-hoo for potty-training-diapers are too expensive.:)
