"It's the little things in life....!"

Okay....so last year I was shopping at one of my favorite stores you all know "ROSS" and I was passing by the Christmas section and I saw these red and white boxes.  And my eyes lit up like a "Christmas Tree!"  I was so excited.  I was beside myself.  You see...as many of you know I was an "ARMY brat" and much of my younger childhood was spent overseas in Germany.  And, my Mom, would go to these little Germany stores or shop from these ice cream truck type guys who would come around selling these cute wooden round ornaments.  Every year my sister and I for as long as I can remember would tell my Mom every year when "she" was decorating the tree and I quote, "When you die...I get this one...!"  I know it sounds cruel and morbid, but it is a little joke my sister and I say to claim all the stuff we like that my Mom has.  I know that every time my Mom buys something cute and shows us the stuff she is thinking in her head..."wait for it...wait for it!" And Bam we say it!

Anyways, back to my story...the little read and white boxes.  My eyes lit up like a "Christmas Tree" because there inside those cute little boxes were the ornaments we would fight over year after year.  Right at "ROSS," for only $5.99...that is a steal.  Since I liked these ornaments so much I looked for them online because I always give an ornament to my family members for Christmas it is a tradition (thanks to my Aunt Dee Dee and Aunt Ninn) and thought these would be something nice.  I found them but they were between $19.99 and $30.99 without shipping and handling.  I am cheap...that's why I shop at "ROSS" Duh! So when I saw these...I went to every "ROSS" I knew about one night after work and bought them all.  I figured my Mom would want some, my sister would want some and I could give them away still as my ornament.

So today I went into "ROSS" to begin looking for Christmas presents for my nieces and they still had what I wanted to get for them and of coarse these crazy stores have Christmas out before Halloween is over.  (I mean I "LOVE" Christmas just as much as the next person but it is a little to early).  I thought I am just going to look to see if they have them again because my sister was little upset last year when she didn't get this little white Sinterclaus like my Mom and I did.  So I thought maybe they might have it...and they DID, with a few others of coarse!
So here are the few I got today!
Most would probably think those are ugly...why would she be blogging and so excited about that!
But this is just a little piece of my childhood that I love to cherish and remember!
"It is the little things in life that mean so much...to make us have GREAT days!
